WHY? I think the big WHY is to show the power Jesus has in our lives. His power over the winds/waves, over Satan, over incurable disease, and even over death! I think the gospel writer wrote this under Holy Spirit inspiration to encourage the readers that whatever they face, Jesus is more powerful.

COMPARISON/CONTRAST: Each vignette demonstrated a contrast: Storm v. Calm Naked v. Clothed Crazy v. Sane Demons v. Saved Sick v. Healed Shamed v. Restored Dead v.
